An Upcoming Exhibition Inspired By Robert Burns

burgh-halls-progMany will know of my reluctance to exhibit my work in a gallery setting - so what tempted me to change the habit of a lifetime? I was approached to join a collaboration between a Japanese calligraphic artist and a Persian calligraphic artist to produce work inspired by the poetry and songs of Robert Burns - a truly cross cultural experience. Myself, Jila Peacock and Rensetsu Ozawa have taken ten songs and are producing a personal response to each one.

The exhibition will be on view in the gallery of the Linlithgow Burgh Halls (a fabulous gallery space designed by Malcolm Fraser as part of the recent restoration project of the building) and will run from August 7th till November 1st 2015.

The exhibition will be suplemented by several related events and workshops (details of these will be published nearer the time)
